Green Hills Stud
Green Hills Stud is a foaling unit owned and managed by Paul Lenihan. It was founded in 1964 by Bid & Michael Lenihan.
With over 50 years of experience, we foal an average of 100 mares each year between January and June, and keep five National Hunt broodmares of our own, breeding to sell as foals.
Two Nationals in one year.
Both foaled here, in the same week.
Nick Rockett and Captain Cody were both foaled at Green Hills Stud within the same week. In 2025 one won the Aintree Grand National and the other the Scottish Grand National.
Captain Cody
Foaled by Paul Lenihan, by Arctic Cosmos out of Fromthecloudsabove, bred by local breeder Richard Morrissey. Won the 2025 Scottish Grand National and ran in the 2026 Aintree Grand National.
